Shadow of Light is a site-specific installation created in 2026 at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA. Set against the seemingly endless white surface of the salt flats, a black square made of light-absorbing fabric appears as a foreign presence. Its austere geometry stands in contrast to the natural texture of the salt, while its abyssal blackness opposes the intense light and near-absolute whiteness of the surrounding landscape. A minimal intervention transforms the perception of the entire landscape. The black square disrupts the continuity of the space, remaining the only artificial element within an almost boundless white field.
